APPLICATIONS

Before you use too much time, you should try to evaluate if your idea can get economic support from the program at all.

  • Will your idea be able to strengthen the LEADER+ areas sustainability?
  • Is your idea new (innovative) and supplementary (additional) in relation to the LEADER+ area?
  • Is your idea consistent with the development plan “living local community” and the priorities decided by the LAG-group (Local Action Group)?
  • Will your idea help create new jobs, new activities or new networks in the LEADER+ area?
  • Will you be able to find the supplemental public and private financing?

Contact the secretariat, if you need an additional evaluation of your possibilities for getting economic support from the program.

If you have a good idea that suits the program, the secretariat can help you with information about the program and guidance in developing ideas and filling out the application.

We have several possibilities for helping you.
  • We will participate in information meetings about the program and its possibilities.
  • We will help you with implementing innovative workshops.
  • We can cover the costs of implementing such workshops, when certain requirements are fulfilled.

See more about this at innovative workshops

  • We will assist you with advice in connection with development and implementation of your projects.
  • We have made guidelines in developing and implementing a project. Here we survey the dangers that are luring and give practical advice that can help to assure that your project becomes a success.

See more about this at development and implementation of projects.

  •  We will make contact with the local project advisory network. The costs of project advisors before sending in an application are eligible for economic support.

How to apply.

If you decide to write an application, it is a good idea to make a thorough description of the project, before you start filling out the application form. Make a work group for your project and divide the work up among yourselves, according to what each person is good at.

Send the project description to the secretariat for comments. So perhaps you will avoid wasting time revising the project, when the application form is to be filled out.

Your project description should be coherent and give a realistic description of the project’s background, objective, organization, content, time plan, budget and financing.

When the project description fulfills these demands, it is time for you to write an application for economic support from the program.

You can get an application form and guidelines in filling out the form (pdf-documents require Adobe Acrobat Reader).

The application form must always be used. The project description is to be enclosed as a supplement to the application form.

Contact the secretariat, if you have any questions in connection with filling out the application form.

Handling of applications.

The program has four application deadlines a year:

  • 15 February
  • 15 May
  • 15 August
  • 15 November

Applications received by the deadline will be presented for handling at the LAG-group’s (Local Action Group) meeting the following month.

Smaller applications (total budget under 100,000 kroner) , in certain circumstances, can be handled more quickly. Hear more about this at the secretariat.

The applications are evaluated and recommended by the secretariat. In the case of recommendation, emphasis is put on that the applications are in accordance with the LEADER+ program’s and the development plan’s objectives and priorities and that the projects are realistic and consistent.

The LAG-group (Local Action Group) makes a binding decision about approval of and allocation of economic support to the projects under the LEADER+ program and recommends the projects for legal control and for grant allotment from the program to the Directory for Food, Fisheries and Agri Business.

The secretariat informs the applicants of the result of the LAG-group’s handling of the applications. The Directory sends out the letter of final grant approval. The letter of grant approval is accompanied by a guideline in payment and use of the grant.
