Development projects amounting to a value of more than 33 million kroner
are now approved under the LEADER+ program. The local action group has thus given economic support to a total of 39 projects for a total amount of almost 9,3 million kroner. Read more about the projects here 1 October 2004 |

Next deadline for sending in applications is 15 February 2005. The LEADER+ secretariat is already accepting new applications. The deadline for the next round is 15 February 2005. The action group is expected to handle the applications at a meeting in the middle of March 2005. 20 November 2004 |

The national and transnational cooperation is starting soon. The local action group has established a framework for the national and transnational cooperation. About 8% of the grant is reserved for this. It has been decided that the secretariat will work further with establishing 7 different joint projects inside and outside the country. It is expected that the area’s part of the joint projects will have a total value of a bit more than 3.5 million kroner. The first projects will be started in the beginning of 2005. LEADER+ contact point opened in Brussels. The EU Commission decided in May 2004 to establish a contact point for LEADER+ in Brussels. The contact point will make the LEADER+ program visible and will be in charge of implementation of seminars and courses. The contact point will publish a newsletter and a magazine about LEADER+. The newsletter will come out twice a month in English, French and German. The magazine will come out three times a year in all the official languages in the EU Union including Danish. LEADER+ West Zealand did well in the mid-term evaluation. During the last year, the local action group for LEADER+ in West Zealand has followed the work with the Danish mid-term evaluation of the LEADER+ program. Right from the action group’s answering of the evaluators’ questions, through the temporary presentation at the national action group meeting at Pine House and forward to the action group’s answer to the result of the evaluation.
